2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. Authentication is handled securely through Supabase Auth. We never store your password directly.
2.2 Web Page Content
The extension reads text content from web pages you choose to have read aloud. This content is sent to our server solely for text-to-speech synthesis and is not stored permanently.
2.3 Vocabulary Data
Words you save to your vocabulary list, along with their definitions and review progress (spaced repetition data), are stored in our database to enable the learning feature across devices.
2.4 Reading History
We store the title and URL of pages you have read using the extension, allowing you to resume reading and track your progress.
2.5 Local Storage
User preferences such as reading speed, preferred voice, and UI settings are stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API and are not transmitted to our servers.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide text-to-speech reading functionality
- Manage your vocabulary list and spaced repetition reviews
- Maintain your reading history for progress tracking
- Authenticate your account and manage your subscription
- Monitor usage quotas to ensure fair service usage
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties, except:
- Supabase — for authentication and database services
- Stripe — for payment processing (we do not store your payment information)
5. Data Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication tokens are managed securely. We follow industry-standard practices to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your saved words and reading history at any time through the extension. To request full account deletion, contact us at the email below.
